Thank you, so very much, Morris! I knew I could count on you! Smiles! There was another one, same size and without the downy feathers but I think they were just the younger ones. I have about 5 or 6 very smaller birds playing with them and 2 black and white that are very pretty, about the same size. I sit out with the cat for about an hour, twice a day, and enjoying the birds but the scrub Jays and Blue Jays are almost the only ones I can iditentify! If they are pretty colors, I sometimes know what they are....

Beautiful close up photograph of a juvenile bird with residual downy feathers, and not yet with 'adult' plumage. I guess that this is a very young House Finch, or maybe a Grosbeak species. See if you can spot the parents in the area with large thick bills...that should tip you off to this juvenile bird's identity! F/L

Your excellence in your submission of this work is worthy of special recognition, and I am seeing to it, that this happens in the WFS group. I am so happy to have you as an active member of our family of friends and fine artists, who support one another by comments, likes, faves, sharing, etc. Thanks for all your efforts to make our group so special by having a fine artist like yourself among many other fine artists that make our group so special.

Thank you, Randy, AKA Elvis, for FEATURING "What Kind of Bird" " in your wonderful group of "Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery". I hope every one in the group, and visitors, enjoy it! Smiles! Most appreciated!
